Design of Streamate
Streamate has a clear structure of the website. However most camsites look very similar. On the left you see a large gray block with categories. At the top a number of menu items. Streamate Chat
Streamate has four types of chats:

In the free guest chat she tries to recruit as many customers as possible for this chat session in a pre-specified period. When this period has ended, she can decide whether she wants to perform the show or not. If the show does not continue, you will get your deposit back. (1 gold is 1 euro.)
Streamate Credits
The prepaid credits can be topped up when you want to visit a paid show. Because your balance is zero when you start, you will receive a message. Here you can enter the amount ($ 25 minimum) with which you want to top up your credits. Click on 'Transfer to bank' to make the payment.

Gold show: Determined by the individual performer If you want to use the paid 'private chat' you can click in the 'free chat' on the blue bar with the text 'View my private live show'. You then enter the private chat room. The chat screen in paid mode at Streamate looks the same as in the free chat. The difference is that there is a cam-to-cam function in the paid chat. You can activate this by clicking on the icon with the two cameras at the bottom of the screen next to 'Private chat' properties. So you can show yourself to the performer via your own webcam.
Streamate.com also has a mobile version of its webcamsex platform.This will be shown automatically when you access the website via your smartphone or tablet.
Cons outweigh the Pros
SM has dropped in traffic significantly since Jan. The holidays were slow too but that made more sense. With all of the technical issues with the site, nothing is making sense. I see 15 potential users in my room but it'll be empty for hours, except 1 or 2 regulars that pop in. The platform for models is not user-friendly for uploading media and we can't even promote our socials which is weird because that would make them more money. On top of the 30%, it seems to me there's no incentive to continue camming on this site.

UNPAID webcam session
My most recent experience as a webcam model- after degrading myself yesterday for several minutes in front of two faceless guys, I noticed that my earnings did NOT show up immediately when my show ended, as they usually had. I immediately reached out to customer service via the company portal and then by email. I did notice that a technical sound error occurred before, during, and after the show and maybe that had an effect on the circumstance. I explained all of this in the email and they responded back and disputed me on the fact as if I had the time to lie about a few funky dollars! Overall, the customer service was very dissatisfactory! I know they could have provided me with some sort of empathy, comfort, or reconciliation. I received none. I went back and forth with them over a series of a couple of emails and asked them, "why would I make something like this up?" I am an honest, hard-working individual who deserves respect at a minimum, and free shows are NOT something that I signed up for. They never acknowledged (or at least haven't thus far) the technical sound glitch that probably played a part in this ordeal. Up until that point, I doing my shows and receiving my pay just fine.

Guys I don't like blaming these sites and I was hoping that they weren't in on the or knowing what those studio rooms were doing but streamate you are in a world of hurt coming your way. As soon as you enter the site and yes we all know sites and the internet tracks us or our cookies but if you just go into one room and come out the tracking and this is no lie but it looks like a stop watch running timing someone in a track and field events. But the worst thing is and this isn't my first Time this has happened going into studio rooms, but someone tried putting a spyware called static.hotjar and before someone takes there side and say this isn't that bad, what I want to know is why are those studio rooms still doing this and independent model are not. I will tell you why, and it's all coming from those studio rooms or Latin or Columbia. And please email me because I have the screen shot of it as well. And if it weren't for that safe browser blocking this criminal activity I probably be screwed the way I don't want to be. And it's in Every sex cam site also. STAY OUT OF THE STUDIO ROOMS
Ok people there sites host and lay out the red carpet for these LATIN STUDIOS and european studios. Please read this and spread the word about this very serious crime that I m pretty sure some sites know about, and not saying steammate does, yet or until a investigation is done. But if you go into and it more than likely a Latin model room it's going to be a ran by a studio mostly in columbia but they are all in south america. If you go in without a spam/IP address block they know who you are and is trying to get anything about you and steal anything from you and selling it. If you don't believe me down load duck duck go and it's free or if you have lifelock or something that hides your IP address which they cant enter through and go into those rooms and watch what happens, the models get nervous, and you can watch them trying to find out who you are and with duck duck go I watch it take over 30 hits in one room trying to get my information before the model got up and they ended up turning off there cam. If they say it's for security reasons, it's bs because every single cam model that has been on cam knows that they are being recorded and not by one or two but multiple off brand sites. Proof is google the models name plus the site and there will be pages and pages of pics and videos and any information you could get so security reasons is a lie. And some sites want let you in with a security browsers, they want you to use Google chrome which is easier to break into and steal your information which makes me think they are in on it as well. I'm not talking about independent models, just studio rooms and they are not marked but the easiest way to know is that if they are LATIN stay away. The reason Im posting this on streamate is the same models that broadcast there also broadcast on multiple sites at the same time and for what I have seen the majority of the models on there are LATIN and Everytime needs to take cation. I worked on Streamate for 3 weeks. I tried to set up a Cosmo account and a Paxum account as my payment info and the error "The name on your card doesn't match the one we have on file for you" showed up BOTH TIMES. The name MATCHED. After that I set up my bank account for wire transfer, it's been two weeks AND THEY STILL DIDN'T PAID ME. The support is practically non-existent. They do not answer your e-mail regarding the problems they have on the site, and when they do answer they say the problem is fixed WHEN IS NOT. This site was amazing because the people (members) on it are nice and generous. But the people that "run" this pos are incompetent or plain greedy. DO NOT WORK WITH THEM IF YOU LIKE MONEY!!!

All cam sites have beautiful girls and Streamate is no different. However, the site doesn't work that well in any browser. The system fails often and you will be suddenly logged out. Video and audio quality is often poor. The guest chat is free, but the models can't see what you type as a guest, although it does offer private and public chat when you sign up. Like all cam sites, Streamate is designed to drain you of money as fast as possible. The price per minute is very high for most models. Customer support is very poor, and the site doesn't treat models very well. The models are often very demanding and will have no time for you if you don't quickly pony up the dough. Most seem to be Eastern European and Colombian. You can do a Private show where other guys can chat to the model, but the guy who initiates the Private show calls the shots. Exclusive is one-on-one but usually much, much more expensive.

A fairly decent site to work on
Streamate is good to work on if you work on it independently because it's easier to make the $20 payout no matter how slow the traffic can get. However, it's best to stay clear of studios of streamate (like paradise kitty, etc). Shortly after I signed up with this site, I accidentally signed up with next level webcam, not knowing they were a studio for streamate, and my minimum payout went up to $100 (which took forever to make) and at least 10% of what I made went to next level and in order for a model to be released from her contract on next level, she can't broadcast on there for 6 months (I only have a couple months left now until I can create a new account on streamate alone)

The broadcast stopped after the same number of minutes every time. After settings check, decided to report the problem. Never heard what the problem was or how to solve it, because my account got closed. I do not recommend this site.

I've been visiting streamate for over ten years... The pay rates are comparable to pre-Industrial Revolution. Minimum should be 50% plus 75% of tips. 35% is ridiculous... And almost "trapping" desperate models into ruthless studios where the return is even less...

new website?
I have been a great fan of streamate in the past, but now they have a new website. I guess I need to get use to it, but I'm not sure what to think about it. But the most important part is that they have beautiful women and lots of if (and they are still there even with the new site). It may not be free, but you get a proper preview before you go private with them and there are tons of high quality women.
